Horgan Motorsport was launched in 2006 to secure Sponsorship in an attempt to get some of the big name drivers back into the WRC on a full time basis. Drivers such as Colin McRae, Gigi Gali, Toni Gardemeister, Harri Rovanpera, Kris Meeke, Guy Wilks, Xavier Pons Etc Etc.

In our endeavours we have discussed programmes with Prodrive, who run the Subaru World Rally Team, M-Sport who run the Ford World Rally Team, along with Stobart and Munchies. We also spoke with Kronos who ran the Team for Citroen during 2006 when Sebastian Leob won his third WRC Title. Horgan Motorsport believe that with the right level of Sponsorship we can produce one of the highest profile Teams in the World and give the Factory Teams a run for their money.

Our interest in rallying dates back to the 1970's with local Rally Team Kiely Brothers in Mallow Co. Cork then to Ger Buckley of E.P.S. Ltd. Driving an Escort RS2000, Vauxhall Chevette and also the Ascona 400 and Opel Manta. We also took an active interest in the 80's with drivers such as Billy Coleman, Jimmy McRae, Russell Brooks and Pentti Airikkala. In the 90's it was Colin McRae, Richard Burns, Tommi Makinen and Carlos Sainz. It was this passion for the Sport that fuelled our interest in putting a Team together.

During 2007/8 we have been actively searching for Sponsorship in order to take this programme forward.
